Technical Problems

17/05/2001

Our ISP, Ghoulnet, has had some technical problems recently. This has affected both the website directly and the members area. As a new members area is about to launch, any errors (you may have disappeared for example!) won’t be fixed before this. Please be patient.

Done the quiz yet. Come on, spend a £1 and win some chocolates! Contact Ian or see a band member for a question sheet. Ps question 18 is a spelling mistake…. It should read 18. Coded Planet? 4,3 Doesn’t matter if you got it wrong, it won’t count. But you may sleep better now!

Main Band

06/04/2001

With a 7th place (of 19) at the regionals in Blackpool, the year got off to a positive start. A nervous performance it might have been, but we now have an additional nervous wait to see if we have sneaked promotion to the 3rd section! We’re still short of players in many sections of the band, so if any of you know experienced players who fancy giving Chester a try, suggest they get in-touch (Ian on 07714 157 351). Chester’s a really fun band with a good mix of ‘hard’ playing and social activities. All levels of playing skills are welcome to give it a go.
eBay Support

4

06/04/2001

The web site is very active, and being updated at the moment. It has just won support from eBay, the world’s largest auction web site, and is now self-supporting financially. Watch the site for more info. We now have 24 out of 28 band members on-line, so we can justifiably claim to be a brass band for the electronic age!

Les is busy confirming the diary for this year, but still has a few slots if you know of an event that would like a brass band – drop Les an email for more info ( [email protected] ). You can see the next few events towards the bottom of this newsletter or take a look at the events page on our site
