BBC Outing

Our 'Expert' Juniors made a special trip to the BBC Studios in Manchester last Thursday, to watch Leyland Championship Band record some tracks for the radio. Thanks to Leon Renilson for setting this up, the kids heard some fantastic playing, including a solo from Leon himself. This follows visits to Fodens rehearsal, and contact with other top bands, a feature of the Training Band development that it is planned to continue. Next is a second contest workshop planned for June (date to be confirmed).
